What a fabulous session at Oppenheimer Park on May 16! We met incredible community members and tried some new techniques! The anvil inherited from one of our collective member's grandfather was a welcome new addition and a huge hit!
Community members ventured into exciting artistic adventures this week with a customized seat cover to keep the rain of a walker, new styles of cases and wallets and a stunning mask collage!
As we upcycled plastic into gorgeous new art, we chatted about creative solutions to pollution, the environment, love and life in general. The act of creating something together, whether for a few minutes or a few hours, is much more than art, it's community building.
We continue to be inspired by the boundless creativity of DTES community members!
Watch for more upcoming programming from Our Connections Residency and Cambium Arts Collective in the DTES. There are many exciting things brewing!
